With subtle visual changes, the changes in Volvo’s new SUV mainly relate to lower fuel consumption and exhaust emissions by implementing new systems

The new redesigned performance of the XC90 is enriched with the new range of engines, such as the B5 and the more powerful B6, which will be available for the seven-seater SUV. Hybrid plug-in models will be improved using the new KERS system, which is an advanced kinetic energy recovery system that is usually lost during braking, to help with powering the electric motor. This system works simultaneously with conventional engines in the car.

The Swedish company is really striving to achieve the targeted electrification goals, and this has also contributed to upgrading what is the top in the range, or the hybrid T8 Twin Engine now delivers as much as 15 percent more power at 400 horsepower.

The restored XC90 looks almost the same as before, which really does not bother us with the excellent exterior design. As a novelty in the bodyshell appearance are just new aluminum wheels, an expanded color palette and refreshed on the front grille, which make this Volvo look even better.

The course of the changes is more pronounced in the driver’s cab, more precisely in view of the availability of various seat configurations, where in addition to the previous ones, a six-seat configuration will be offered for the first time. New materials, including a mixture of wool, will be available.

In terms of technological change, the new SUV is now also equipped with assistance in the city safety system and in the blind spot detection system.
