The standard G63 was not powerful enough for the German tuning company, which decided to “boost” this SUV with an additional 215 hp
The German tuning company specializing in the models of Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach, this time presented its new 800 Widestar project, a completely modified version of the powerful SUV Mercedes-AMG G63.
The standard version of the four-liter V8 engine, coupled with two turbochargers, delivers the power of this AMG of 585 hp and a torque of 850 Nm. However, these figures were not high enough according to the Brabus guys who decided to extract additional 215 hp from this drive unit with certain modifications.
Turbo chargers have been replaced by two new ones from Brabus, which come with a larger compressor unit of 1.6 bars and new adequate software. The exhaust flow has been enhanced by the new stainless steel exhaust system, which features double side exhaust pipes mounted on both sides of the car.
The end result makes this SUV even more furious with an incredible 800 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. This results in a sprint of up to 100 in just 4.1 seconds, or 0.4 seconds faster than the standard G63. The ultimate speed is electronically limited to 240 kilometers per hour.
Improvements except under the cover, are also represented by the exterior and interior of the G63 800 Widestar. New massive aluminum wheels, larger front air inlets, redesigned front and rear fascia and new LED lighting set on the roof are just some of the changes in the body. You can also notice the use of carbon fiber, from which the rear spoiler, the new robot cover and the spare wheel cover are made.
The driver’s cab also got a significant make-over, where new aluminum handles and specially made parts of wood and carbon fiber are now implemented. The interior is enamored with the unique “Mastik” leather with Alcantara ends, which make this Mercedes-AMG G63 truly unique.
