On the occasion of the golden anniversary, Nissan and Italdesign built the new GT-R50 whose production is limited to only 50 units
This year, the Japanese manufacturer celebrated 50 years since the existence of the GT-R model, and Italdesign was joined by the Italian company. They together built the GT-R50 which is a 710 horse model with limited production of only 50 samples. The price of this model will be 990,000 euros, and the first deliveries are expected in the middle of the next year.
The prototype model that was presented at the Goodwood Festival came in a gray edition with golden accents, but the product version allows buyers to choose the combination of interior and exterior colors.
However, the production variant of the GT-R50 will retain the prototype drive. So, under the hood of this model will be found the standard 3.8 liter V6 GT-R motor double turbocharger, but in an upgraded version with larger turbochargers and intercoolers, new snappers, and new bigger and hardened motor clips. Thanks to all this, the GT-R50 will have a power output of 710 horsepower and a torque of 780 Nm.
The standard GT-R gearbox and the differentials will also be upgraded, and as far as the chassis is concerned, this model will be equipped with a Bilstein Damp Tronic Adjustment Suspension, Brembo Brakes and 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
Outside of the exterior modifications, the GT-R50 comes with a 54mm lower-level roofline, a redesigned front and rear spoiler, LED headlights and a new-generation diffuser.
Inside, he gets a dashboard and a central console made of carbon fiber, new seats made of Alcantara and leather, and a steering wheel also made of Alcantara.
“These 50 cars, which celebrate 50 years of GT-R, and 50 years of Italdesign, will be exciting accolades for Nissan’s engineering leadership and the rich heritage of SUVs for a long time,” said Bob Likesley, director of the global sports car on Nissan.
