Just a few months before the world premiere of the brand-new generation of the Defender, Land Rover announced that 1.2 million test kilometers
The car was tested in all conditions, starting with the extreme loads offered by the legendary Nirburgring track, to the rocky roads of Utah, the United States, and the deserts of Dubai.
“In addition to long-lasting and detailed simulations and tests, the new Defender has gone 1.2 million kilometers in all terrain, in extreme climatic conditions, to ensure that it is the best Land Rover ever created,” said Nick Rogers, executive director of the production unit .
Developed in the UK, the new Land Rover Defender will be introduced this year, and its production will be carried out in the new complex of the brand in Slovakia.
Land Rover has been an official partner of the Tusk Trust wildlife conservation charity for 15 years, helping to reach some of the world’s most remote locations. News of the testing initiative has been announced to mark World Land Rover Day, which is celebrated on 30 April every year to mark the world premiere of the original Land Rover at the Amsterdam Motor Show on this day in 1948.
