The Spanish manufacturer has expanded its SUV program with another model, which is equipped with seven seats, and is named after Seat Tarraco. Built to compete with Hyundai Santa Fe and Škoda Kodiaq, this model represents the largest SUV in its line.
The new Tarraco is named after the city of Tarragona in Spain, and this came about after Seat asked its fans to choose a name for their latest model. As a blend of functionality and superb design, sporty look and weight, accessibility and quality, this new model comes in a shape that fits a wider range of lifestyles. With these features, the VW group hopes that this SUV model will attract many new customers.
This Spanish SUV is 1.658 mm long and 4.735 mm long and is based on the MQB-A platform, which is also used in Skoda Kodiaq. In front, the MacPherson Suspension System is implemented, and the multi-link in the rear, making Seat offer this new model with adaptive dampers.

Acceleration from 0-100 kilometers per hour is only 8 seconds, while the maximum speed is 211 kilometers per hour.
Diesel aggregates in this SUV use the same 2.0-liter TDI engine, but with two different output power. The first variant has a power output of 150 horsepower, which is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The second variant is more powerful with 190 horsepower, which comes with a four-wheel drive and a dual-clutch gearbox.
Seat will begin selling Tarraco in Europe in early 2019.
